After the end of the 4th Shinobi World War, part 2

The second part has a title: "The Two Heroes"


Prologue:
During the final stages of the 4th SWW, Sasuke (together with Itachi) eliminated Kabuto and stopped the Edo Tensei. Sasuke then found the location of the final fight between Naruto and Tobi. During this fight, Naruto managed to severely wound Tobi. Sasuke revealed himself and attacked Tobi, who was forced to escape.

The Two Heroes

Before all the shinobi army, Naruto and Sasuke face off. Naruto forbids anyone to interfere, stating that this matter concerns only Konoha. During the confrontation, Sasuke and Naruto exchange blows, learning about their growth. However, they quickly realize that they are not willing to seriously attack each other. They abandon the fight, and Sasuke attempts to leave. However, he is surrounded by Karui, Omoi, Darui, other Cloud shinobi and Samurai who demand retribution for the actions of Akatsuki. Sasuke is unwilling to fight, and Naruto intervenes, declaring that Sasuke is his friend and that he will not allow him to be harmed. As a result, Sasuke returns with Naruto to the headquarters of the Shinobi army. Sasuke is not bothered by the other shinobi, but he is regarded with suspicion.

Tsunade declares her intention to make Naruto Hokage (see previous thread.). Naruto demands that Sasuke be forgiven and allowed to return to Konoha. The Kage agree to forgive Sasuke on the condition that Naruto will take responsibility for his friend's future behavior. Sasuke cannot remain a missing-nin.

Naruto seeks Sasuke and asks him about his plans. Sasuke declares that he will not return to Konoha. Naruto explains that he will be regarded as an outsider and hunted. Naruto asks Sasuke if he wants to join another village. Sasuke declines, stating that he does not wish to ever confront Naruto again, but cannot return to Konoha because he would never be forgiven for killing Danzo.

Naruto explains that Danzo's association with Orochimaru has been discovered after Root members have confessed. It was also found that Danzo had forbidden the Root to fight against Pain, effectively betraying Konoha. Naruto reveals to Sasuke that he will be Hokage and that his first decision will be to declare Sasuke a hero for his fight against Kabuto and Tobi. Naruto then asks Sasuke whether he still wished to restore the Uchiha clan. Sasuke listens intently as Naruto declares that the Uchiha have always been a part of Konoha and that as Hokage, he would help Sasuke restore the clan's position. The friendship between Naruto and Sasuke would restore all the bonds between the Uchiha and the village.

Sasuke agrees to return for a year, to see if he would be accepted by the villagers. Naruto responds that while Tobi is alive, the village is not safe, and that their first mission would be to defeat Tobi.

Naruto and Sasuke travel to the field hospital to meet with Sakura. As the three friends meet for the first time after Sasuke's departure, Naruto smiles to Sakura, saying that he has finally fulfilled his promise.
